The cluster participants are engaged in the creation of metalworking equipment, as well as components and components for this industry. It is noteworthy that the industry itself appeared in the Penza region from scratch a little more than ten years ago. The final assembly of products is carried out by the StankoMashStroy plant, which is open to cooperation with both local and federal market players.
The founder of Zarechensky enterprise Valery Chuikov noted that the Penza school of machine tool construction in recent years has made a huge leap and today dictates high quality standards throughout the country. He expressed confidence that joint competences, close cooperation and synergy with colleagues in the cluster will help to introduce innovations faster, strengthen market positions and make a significant contribution to the development of the industry.
The cluster appeared in 2021. After three years of work, he passed re-accreditation in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and its composition grew to 16 enterprises. In addition to Penza companies, the association included residents from Vladimir, Ryazan and Samara regions. Among the participants are also universities, professional institutions, regional development institutions and organization of technological infrastructure.
Mikhail Labudin, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, is convinced that time has proved the effectiveness of this powerful tool of industry policy for solving import substitution problems. In his opinion, the Penza experience of interregional cooperation is truly invaluable and unique, and the achievements deserve to be adopted by other territories.
For a new resident, joining the association is a chance to integrate into production chains, exchange experience with colleagues and launch joint projects. Industrialists note that machine tool building in the region today shows steady growth and has become one of the main engines of industrial development of the Penza region.
