In the village of Neverkino, an off-site master class from the Doll House theater was held. The event was organized as part of the Theatre Evenings project initiated by the Governor Oleg Melnichenko, as well as on the eve of the VIII season of the Theatre Volga Festival.
Artist Roman Petrov met with pupils of the theater department of the Children's School of Arts named after I. M. Manuilov. He revealed the secrets of the art of puppetry. Students learned what puppet systems are, how they differ from each other and which of them is considered the most complex. In addition, the participants were able to take a closer look at and study the characters from the performances of the current repertoire. In conclusion, they tried on the roles of puppeteers.
The teacher of the theater department Lyubov Nekrasova noted the importance of a practical approach in teaching. She stressed that children by nature are figures, they need to try everything and touch with their hands. That’s how they either want to do it, or they don’t. According to her, after this master class, students clearly became interested, and now they will probably ask for dolls in the classes.
