“Turning the page”: the term of disqualification of the former head of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Dmitry Baskov has expired
The term of disqualification of ex-chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Dmitry Baskov imposed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

The period of disqualification of the former chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Dmitry Baskov, imposed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in September 2021 for a period of five years, expired on September 10, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.
- Today, September 10, is finally the formal date when I can officially return to hockey in every sense of the word. It was today that the period of disqualification unjustifiably imposed on me by the International Ice Hockey Federation expired on September 9, 2021, Baskov wrote in his official Telegram channel.
As a person brought up with love for sports and the Motherland, he sought to instill the same values in Belarusian hockey players. In his opinion, this is what any sports functionary and patriot of his country should do.
- Today I turn this page, shameful for the International Ice Hockey Federation, to work with triple energy for the benefit of Belarusian hockey.
Currently, he is a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, is Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Dynamo-Minsk Hockey Club.
