The Nuremberg Tribunal was the starting point for a world without Nazism. This was stated during the video bridge Moscow — Minsk, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the completion of the Nuremberg process, the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Ivan Melnikov, writes sb.by.

Ivan Melnikov stressed that today Belarus and Russia cherish the memory of the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War. The lessons of Nuremberg must be learned.
- At the same time, in a number of countries of the so-called collective West, the tendency to justify and glorify Nazism, to support the Nazi and neo-Nazi regimes is becoming increasingly clear. And we are not just talking about some condoning attitude to the movement of certain groups with appropriate symbols. We are talking about a opportunistic political rethinking of these manifestations, about lifting taboos. Years go by, but we do not cease to be amazed and outraged by the position of some of our former allies in the anti-Hitler coalition, when they themselves encourage and nurture neo-Nazism in Ukraine, actively supporting the Bandera regime.
He recalled that the deputies of Belarus and Russia adopted statements in which the actions of fascist Germany recognized as genocide against Soviet citizens. This is a logical continuation of the Nuremberg Tribunal, the parliamentarian stated.
The Nuremberg trials were not only the first international tribunal to condemn the Nazis and their crimes against humanity. It was a great reminder for all generations to come. Nazi crimes have no statute of limitations. Our task is to effectively counteract revanchist attempts to revise the results of the Great Patriotic War and World War II. The lessons of Nuremberg should not be forgotten under any circumstances, concluded the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia.
