Residents of St. Petersburg faced problems with the home Internet. According to the service DownDetector, by 14:45 received 186 complaints from citizens.
Judging by the service schedule, a sharp spike in complaints began around 13:00 and peaked at 14:45. Most users report a general network failure (67% of complaints). Among providers, problems are most often fixed in three representatives. Users also complain about malfunctions in websites and mobile applications. Official comments from providers about the reasons for the failure have not yet been received.
Problems with the Internet could arise against the background of the night danger of the UAV in the Leningrad region. From 16 to 17 October, air defense forces shot down two drones, no casualties and destruction.
In addition, at night, temporary restrictions were imposed in the airspace over Pulkovo airport. The airport did not receive or send flights, while working as a spare airfield for the Moscow air hub. This led to a serious scheduling failure: 18 flights were canceled for departure and 26 were delayed, and 21 flights were canceled for arrival.
