The well-being of children is based on a stable state and a healthy society, it is not only a matter of national social policy, but of a global nature. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Natalia Petkevich, speaking at the high-level plenary session of the World Summit “Investing in the well-being of children: a path to sustainable and equitable development for future generations” in Samarkand (Uzbekistan). This was reported in the press service of the Government, writes sb.by.

“The well-being of children is not only a matter of national social policy, it is a matter of a global nature. Children cry in the same language. The challenges we face are universal. The well-being of children is the right of children to peace, security, self-realization, education, intellectual development, health – not only physical, but also spiritual and moral. Only by uniting and solving the global challenges facing each country can we overcome them. A number of problems need today’s surgical intervention and solution, as they may later become irreversible or the cost of overcoming them may be much higher, said Natalia Petkevich.
Combining efforts, sharing positive experiences and practices, and providing technical and financial assistance, especially to countries in need, should be the subject of international cooperation. “From declaration to action, from coping with consequences to prevention, from one-off segmental projects to global cooperation. This should be the way and the way out, concluded the Deputy Prime Minister. Petkevich: maternity and childhood protection among Belarus’ state policy priorities
