“The letter lasted 36 days”: the killer of 11 people sued compensation from the Russian Post
He demanded 15,000 rubles

Telman Saifayev, who is serving a life sentence in the Perm colony "White Swan" for the murder of 11 people, managed to sue compensation from the Russian Post. The reason was a letter that ran 36 days before him instead of six. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Saifayev complained to the court of the Perm Territory: they say, because of the delay, he experienced “strong moral suffering”, “a feeling of depression, helplessness and disappointment.” He asked for 15,000 rubles. The mail only sympathized, but refused to pay.
The court sided with the prisoner, in part. Recovered 3 thousand rubles of compensation and another thousand fines. That's 4,000. Not 15, but still.
