At the request of the Prosecutor’s office of the former head of the Kostroma settlement confiscated the car

The press service of the regional prosecutor's office reports that at the suit of the prosecutor's office of the Kostroma district, the former head of the Minsk rural settlement confiscated a premium car and money worth more than 8.3 million rubles.

During the inspection, the prosecutor’s office found that the official did not specify this car in the income declaration for 2022 – which is not surprising, since its value was 3.8 million rubles more than its official income for the previous three years. On the day of the purchase of the car, the former head to hide the deal, immediately issued another car, which continued to use, for his father.

In addition, the prosecutor’s office established that in 2022-23 the head of the settlement, already in office, repeatedly acquired securities, including foreign issuers, using a brokerage account, also issued for his father.

As a result, at the suit of the Kostroma district prosecutor’s office, the court decided to seize both the car and 8.3 million rubles in the bank accounts of the ex-official into federal ownership. On October 16, during the execution of the court decision, the car was already seized and turned into the state revenue, and the powers of the former head of the Minsk rural settlement were prematurely terminated due to loss of trust. Information about his dismissal is entered in the open register of persons dismissed on this basis.
