According to the results of inspections due to hogweed in the Tula region punished 4 officials

The Prosecutor’s office of the Tula region checked how the legislation on land protection in terms of the fight against hogweed Sosnovsky. In the course of supervisory measures, which the prosecutors of Chernsky, Zaoksky and Teplo-Ogarevsky districts conducted together with the Accounts Chamber of the region, revealed misuse of budget subsidies allocated for the destruction of this weed. The money was sent to the processing of plots that are not in municipal ownership.

On these facts, administrative cases were initiated under Article 15.14 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Finance of the Tula region brought to justice the former head of the administration of the Chernsky district - he was given a warning.

Prosecutors of nine more districts and three interdistrict prosecutors found violations in the work of local self-government bodies: hogweed foci were eliminated improperly.

As a result of the inspections, 12 submissions were made, additional contracts for chemical treatment were concluded and the owners of the sites were informed, and 4 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility. Also, officials were punished through UFAS for violating the terms of payment for work under contracts.

Earlier, MK in Tula reported that the Accounts Chamber of the Tula region found 148 violations for 7.6 million rubles when checking the fight against hogweed in 2025. In the Teplo-Ogarev and Kireevsky districts accepted and paid for works that do not comply with contracts.
