Near Lipetsk planted 15 thousand pine seedlings in the framework of the action “Preserve the forest”

In the Balashov district forestry near the STS "Metallurg-3" was held the central event of the all-Russian action "Save the forest". In the Lipetsk region, it is held for the seventh time, the regional Ministry of Forestry reported.

More than 200 people took part in the planting of 15 thousand seedlings of ordinary pine. Among them are volunteers, representatives of enterprises, organizations, public and youth associations, families of citizens, as well as employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Lipetsk region and subordinate institutions.

The participants were welcomed by the Minister of Forestry of the region Irina Domnysheva. First Deputy Minister Nikolai Esipov instructed on planting seedlings using the Kolesov sword - a special device for creating planting gaps in the soil under the seedlings of forest crops.

After the briefing, volunteers, accompanied by foresters, moved to the allocated areas. The weather favored the work. At the end of the action, the organizers treated all participants to tea from forest herbs and field porridge.

The campaign “Save the forest” is held in the country to restore the forest fund and draw attention to the respect for nature. In the Lipetsk region, it annually gathers hundreds of participants, and the planting of pine seedlings in the Balashov Forestry became the central event of the season.
