As specified in the police of the Minsk region, most of the victims saw the advertising of the transfer in social networks, and then contacted the “carrier” themselves. Communication continued in the messenger.
After a short correspondence, attackers, as a rule, send a link to the interlocutor to pay for the service allegedly through the ERIP payment system. After receiving money, scammers stop communicating with customers, and no transfer occurs.
The police urge citizens to use the services of only trusted and reliable carriers. Also, law enforcement officers draw the attention of Belarusians to suspicious signs indicating communication with fraudsters: payment by link or transfer to a card, the price is much lower than the market, artificially created excitement and a demonstration of a large demand for the service.
