Holiday with barbecue, fair and wedding in Belarusian takes place in the park "Kurasovshchyna" on the City Day

Hundreds of Minsk residents gathered in the park “Kurasovshchyna”, where on September 12, the district holiday “We dedicate to You, My City”, in honor of the City Day of Minsk, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

This year, the organizers have prepared several innovations. For example, an agricultural fair. It presents vegetables, fruits, jam, honey, salads, flatbread, bread and other products.

- A similar fair was held three years ago on Christmas Day - it was held near the Palace of Culture and Sports of Railway Workers. Everyone was thrilled then. We decided to celebrate the harvest today. The gifts of nature and products from them were presented by organizations, educational institutions, children and parents. Passers-by are offered to try, to buy something for a nominal fee, — said the Deputy head of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district Sergey Sbortsev.

He noted that compared to previous years, the entertainment area for children has significantly expanded. Activities are provided for young children, schoolchildren, adolescents and adults. Particularly popular are inflatable slides, sports entertainment, as well as locations with creative tasks. Widely represented catering, organized many seats.

Quite a lot of people gathered on the embankment, where an unusual location is equipped - an exit point for weddings. Similar ceremonies were held in October and earlier on City Day. However, the current one has its own highlight – it is held in Belarusian traditions, in the Belarusian language.

Another feature of the holiday is the culinary and creative competition “Golden Shampur”. For this purpose, the participants – and this is eight enterprises of the district – were allocated a platform. Each team received 10 square meters to set up and equip their camp. Within an hour, participants should light a barbecue, prepare a barbecue, and then present it to the commission. Evaluations will be put up for the creativity and taste of the barbecue itself. After the jury removes the sample, everyone will be able to taste the dish and assess the abilities of the teams.

A lot of people gathered at the stage concert program. As S. Sbortsev said, all teams are from October. There were more people willing to participate. The head of the district administration Eduard Tomilchik in the break between the rooms awarded the winners of the competition for the best bench, citizens who took part in the improvement of the district, as well as active workers of organizations and enterprises.

Minsk and the inhabitants of October are great workers. To work well, you need to rest well. Such celebrations unite people, make their weekends brighter and more exciting. We see that every year more people gather such events. Residents are grateful for the fact that the organizers come up with innovations, catering is widely presented, and entertainment is for every taste and age. Such celebrations fill people with positive – so we do everything right! – shared his thoughts E. Tomilchik.

According to him, this year the city Day celebrations are held in three locations. In addition to the park "Kurasovshchyna", the concert program is organized in the complex "Minsk-Mir", as well as in the residential area of Sokol.

- I’m at such a holiday for the first time, said a resident of the district Veronika Ilyina, who came with her son Mikhail. We were told by our neighbors that the entertainment program was rich and interesting. There are also delicious dishes offered by catering. My eyes are really moving. The child is delighted. What else does it take to be satisfied?
