Prime Minister of Dagestan Magomed Ramazanov criticized the heads of a number of municipalities for the failure of orders to provide housing for orphans and warned about possible personnel decisions up to dismissal. The issue was discussed at a meeting on housing for orphans and young families.
It turned out that representatives of some municipalities do not have reliable data on the number of orphans waiting for housing. Their information differed from the information of relevant agencies and supervisory authorities. A number of municipalities also failed to comply with the instructions to audit the lists by October 12. Some heads sent alternates to the meeting who were unable to answer questions.
Particular indignation of the Prime Minister caused cases when children left without parents, years waiting for the laid housing, while the validity of the provision of apartments to individual citizens raises questions.
“There are protocol instructions that you are obliged to fulfill,” Ramazanov said. He instructed the Control Department to verify the implementation of these instructions earlier.
Alexander Suprun, head of the SU IC of Russia for Dagestan, called “phenomenal” unpreparedness of representatives of municipalities who failed to answer basic questions.
The republican budget for 2026 provides more than 813 million rubles for housing for orphans. The total queue exceeds 3 thousand people.
