The law “On aquaculture (fish farming)”, as explained in the press service of the President, adopted to form a regulatory legal framework that regulates relations in this area, as well as the work of existing and created industries. In particular, a new conceptual apparatus, previously absent in the legal field, is fixed: “aquaculture”, “aquaculture facilities”, “pasture aquaculture”, “plantations”, “closed water supply installations”.
Among the main goals and objectives of the law are the formation of legal, economic and organizational bases for this sphere; the establishment of the rights and obligations of fish farming organizations; the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of legal entities working in this field; the creation of favorable conditions for the development of new industries and the emergence of aquaculture facilities. This should help saturate the domestic market with high-quality fish products of domestic production.
The head of state also signed laws “On changing the laws on land reclamation” and “On identification, registration, traceability of farm animals (herds), identification and traceability of products of animal origin”. The documents provide for the improvement of legislation taking into account the practice of its application, as well as bringing it into compliance with current regulatory legal acts.
