The country has learned to produce the most modern means of communication for the military. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told reporters at the Obuz-Lesnovsky combined arms training ground on September 11, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
According to the Head of State, BelTA cites, one should be able to fight not by number, but by skill. The same goes for the liaison forces.
- The means of communication that we have today allow us to have fewer people in terms of numbers. But it's not even about numbers. It's about the skills and means of that connection. What we saw today is the most advanced – what is needed, the President said.
He recalled that several years ago he set the task to have everything in Belarus in this sphere, including space communications. And today it is, but in insufficient quantities.
- We need more. And according to the results of our conversation (we are talking about activities with the military at the training ground). We will decide in what time frame we will equip not only the army, but all the Armed Forces – who are in uniform and carry weapons – with modern means of communication. We know how to do this, the Belarusian leader said.
