The reasons for the appearance of mold in apartments explained to residents of the Orel region

Residents of the Orel region were told why mold may appear in apartments in autumn, and where to address this problem. Important information appeared on the website of the regional government.

With the onset of cold weather in the apartments may appear dampness, condensation on the windows and mold. The reasons for this are violations in the operation of ventilation, insufficient thermal insulation of walls or leaks. Who is responsible for fixing the problem depends on its source.

In many cases, this is insufficient air exchange. In the autumn-winter period, when the temperature difference in the room and outdoors increases, moisture can accumulate on cold surfaces. Rawness can also occur due to freezing of external walls, violation of the tightness of interpanel seams, leaks of the roof.

If the matter is a malfunction of general house engineering systems or building structures, the elimination of its cause is the area of responsibility of the management organization. It must ensure proper maintenance of ventilation ducts, roofing and other elements of the common property of the house. If high humidity causes features of operation of the apartment or malfunction of the owner's equipment, measures are taken by the owner of the premises.

In the “Public Services House” application, residents can send appeals to management organizations, receive data about their home and track the status of their applications. The answer goes to the appendix as well. It is available in popular download services. For authorization you will need a confirmed account on the portal "Public Services".
