The arrival of meteorological winter in the Kostroma region is delayed

Meteorological winter this year will come in the third decade of November, and possibly at the very end of the month. This was announced by the head of the department of short-term weather forecasts of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Alexander Golubev.

The expert recalled that winter in meteorology is determined not by a calendar date, but by a stable average daily temperature below zero. Usually, this threshold is reached on November 14-15, but this year the transition will take place later.

According to Golubev, the exact timing will depend on the actual temperature drop, since now night frosts can be replaced by a daily plus. The data is given by RIA Novosti.
