The investigation of the criminal case on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War continues in Belarus. On October 30, a verdict will be announced against Nazi accomplice Alexander Buglay. The importance of the work carried out was discussed on the air of the project “Petuchka” on “SBTV”, sb.by.
Chief editor, journalist of the news agency ANNA-News (Russia) Maria Pavlova said that she attended the Supreme Court during the court debate.
- There are a lot of impressions, she shared. - I listened very carefully. It is amazing how well the evidence base is built.

Grigory Azarenok, a political columnist for the TV channel, stressed that Belarus not only establishes the facts of crimes, but also makes specific judicial decisions. In some countries, those who supported the Nazis are considered national heroes.
- In order to prevent this from happening in Russia, the Constitution stipulates the preservation of historical memory, the same is true in the Russian Federation. And there are criminal trials. Someone was convicted in the Soviet Union, someone hid in the West. It is very important that we legally fix: these are Nazi criminals, and any of their justification is a criminal case, added Grigory Azarenok.
Political columnist of the TV channel “First Information” Evgeny Gorin, in turn, stressed:
- Why did we start these trials? First, it is a vaccination against ignorance, and second, the establishment of justice. Buglay died in 1990 and was not punished. He wasn't alone. There were hundreds, if not thousands. Why didn't they give them away? When the Soviet Union presented evidence of atrocities, it was told, “These are independence fighters.” It's not that clear. What do you mean ambiguous? The man took the side of the murderers, committed crimes. The West wants us to forget this page. Therefore, the courts must pass, sentences must be pronounced. Belarus calls things by their proper names: here is the crime, here is the executioner and here is the sentence.
