Sales of antidepressants in Sochi for the year increased by more than 50%

In Sochi in January-August 2026 sold 90.3 thousand packages of antidepressants for almost 93 million rubles. According to DSM Group, over the year, cash sales increased by 51%, and the number of packages - by 39.4%.

The head of the neuropsychiatric clinic Docbrain Irina Nam in the article to the publication “Kommersant” explains the trend of accumulation of anxiety, economic instability and a decrease in stigma around seeking psychiatric help. Rising drug prices and more frequent detection of anxiety and depressive disorders also affect the indicators.

Experts remind that antidepressants should be taken only as prescribed by a doctor. Changing the dosage or stopping treatment is dangerous.

Earlier it was reported that in Sochi, the daughters of the deceased member of the SVO paid more than 660 thousand rubles after the intervention of the Prosecutor’s office.
