Sales of unstudded winter tires in Tula increased by 29%
In Tula, the demand for winter tires is growing

In Tula, the demand for winter tires is growing. According to analysts Avito, in the III quarter of 2026, sales of new studded models increased by 15% compared to the same period last year, and unstudded models by 29%, analysts shared their observations with MK in Tula.
At the same time, tulas often choose mileage rubber than new sets.
Sales of used studded tires for the year increased by 5%. Among the unstudded models with mileage, the dynamics was even more noticeable - plus 18%.
Head of business development of the category "Tyres and wheels" Roman Shemet noted that when choosing winter tires, it is important to take into account not only the presence of spikes or lamellae, but also the composition of the material. At negative temperatures, the rubber must remain soft to ensure traction. Summer tires harden in the cold, which worsens braking. At the same time, studded models still dominate the Russian market: they account for 65% of all tire sales.
According to Avito, the share of used kits in the Tula region is 59% among studded winter tires and 52% among non-studded ones. On average, used rubber costs Tula buyers 35% cheaper than new.
We will remind, the other day “MK in Tula” wrote that Tulas became 37% more interested in used electric cars. In Russia, the number of ads for the sale of electric cars and used hybrids in the third quarter increased by 21% over the year. At the same time, 45% of the study participants allow the purchase of such a car: 20% are already considering this option, and another 25% may decide on it in the future.
