The project of the rope through the Oka received three awards of architectural rating

The construction of a cable car across the Oka in Nizhny Novgorod has received three awards from the independent national rating system “Golden Capital”. According to the press service of JSC "Urbantech Rope Roads", the creators of the project became laureates of the superfinalist diploma, a special sign of the organizing committee, as well as the award "Hamburg Account" of the second degree.

The prestige of the concept of a suspension bridge across the Oka was strengthened by the Golden Capital award. Prior to that, the work received a special award at the All-Russian competition “Project Russia” for the futuristic and high-tech image of the new urban transport communication. In addition, the model of the stations was presented at the National Center "Russia" at the exhibition "Birth of Scale". The exhibition "Architecture of the Future" demonstrated the advanced vectors of development of Russian architecture.

The company "Urbantech cable cars" builds a funicular through the Oka in accordance with the terms of the concession agreement signed with the administration of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The route of the new line with a length of 3340 m will connect the territory near the metro station "Zarechnaya" with Gagarin Avenue, thereby creating a second transport link between Zarechye and the Nagorny district. The implementation of this initiative will make it possible to improve the transport connectivity of Nizhny Novgorod districts, as well as reduce the duration of trips.
