The Prosecutor’s office helped a 75-year-old resident of the Ryazan district, who suffered from the actions of fraudsters. This was reported in the press service of the supervisory authority.

In May 2026, the attackers called an elderly man and, having convinced him of the need to check the funds for authenticity, tricked him into seizing the savings of the Ryazan man. A local resident, acting as a courier, received 800 thousand rubles from the victim.

A criminal case under the article on fraud has been initiated and already sent to the court for consideration.

During the investigation, the accused partially compensated the pensioner damage in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. To recover the remaining amount, the prosecutor sent a statement of claim to the court.
