The Prosecutor’s office took control of the communal accident in the Soviet district of Voronezh

The Voronezh Prosecutor’s Office joined the proceedings on the fact of damage to the water supply on Lyuba Shevtsova Street. The incident occurred on October 16: a leak was formed on underground networks of cold water supply. The supervisory department took control of the situation, sending a representative of the city prosecutor's office to the place.

According to RVC-Voronezh, the defect was detected on a pipeline with a diameter of 150 mm near house No. 36a. To carry out repair work, the resource supply company had to suspend the water supply - restrictions affected the private sector of the Soviet district.

The company noted that restoration activities were carried out in the daytime, and the brigade worked with increased load for the speedy resumption of water supply. Later, RVC reported that the water supply was resumed: valves are open, but the network takes time to fully fill.

At the same time, the repair is still ongoing – the work has been postponed to night time so as not to turn off the water from local residents. The process of eliminating the accident remains under the control of the Prosecutor’s office.
