Pskov bailiffs recovered 574 thousand rubles of debt for renting an abandoned site

A resident of Pskov was forced to pay a large amount of debt for the land, which she rented back in 2018 for the construction of a parking lot, but never used for its intended purpose.

The plot of 1180 square meters, located between houses No. 89 and No. 91, went to the woman after bidding for a period of 49 years. However, the business project was not implemented, and the land was overgrown with grass. The tenant mistakenly believed that a lack of activity exempted her from payments. As a result, for six years, a debt of 574 thousand rubles has accumulated.

The court refused the woman to satisfy her arguments, stressing that the non-use of the plot is not a reason for non-payment of the rent. Since the debtor ignored court hearings and pre-trial claims, the decision was rendered in absentia.

For compulsory recovery, the case was transferred to the bailiffs department of Pskov No. 2. After the woman ignored the requirement to pay the debt within five days, the bailiffs arrested her accounts, limited travel abroad and through Rosreestr found her property. Having seized a private house and a land plot of the debtor, the employees of the department achieved full repayment of the debt.
