Pskov Museum-Reserve for the 150th anniversary is waiting for a millionth visitor

The government of the Pskov region awarded employees of the Pskov Museum-Reserve for the 150th anniversary of the institution. The governor presented the specialists with certificates of honor and a letter of gratitude from the regional government for many years of work and contribution to the preservation of museum business. This “MK in Pskov” reported in the press service of the regional government.

Svetlana Melnikova, the general director of the museum, noted the support of the regional authorities and said that, according to forecasts, the museum will receive a millionth visitor in mid-November. This will be a record in the history of the institution.

The history of the Pskov Museum-Reserve began in 1872, and in 1876 it opened its doors to visitors.

Today, the museum combines historical heritage and modern exhibition spaces, implements scientific and educational projects.
