The harvesting of trees felled by a hurricane near the village of Forest Polyany in Yaroslavl may require about 26 million rubles from the city budget. At the same time, it will not be possible to compensate for the costs through the sale of wood.
The consequences of the strong wind that hit Yaroslavl and the surrounding area in July 2025 are still being eliminated. In the area of Forest Polyana, the elements fell a large number of trees, and clearing the territory required significant resources.
The estimated cost of the remaining works was reported by Deputy head of the profile department of the municipality department Olga Andrianova at a meeting of the municipality commission.
Now the administration is considering a counteroffer of a potential contractor. After examining the site, the company's specialists must determine the amount of necessary measures and the procedure for their implementation.
