"A child is a value": Artem Tsuran met with the staff of the Minsk Housebuilding Plant

Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, delegate of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Chairman of the Minsk City Branch of the Belarusian Party "White Rus" Artem Tsuran visited the Minsk Housebuilding Plant on October 16, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

During the meeting, the participants discussed support for families, the city budget, the development of Minsk, electric cars, road safety and large construction sites.

Demography and family support

A. Tsuran noted that today it is important to change the attitude to the family and children:

- The main task of society and the state is to increase the prestige of responsible parenthood, to form a culture in which the child is perceived not as a threat to comfort, but as a value.

According to the speaker, a family support system is already in place in Belarus. It's constantly evolving.

- Among the measures are paid leave to care for a child under three years; state benefits for the birth and upbringing of children; family capital at the birth of the third and subsequent children; targeted social assistance and social services, the chairman of the Minsk City Council said.

Separately, he focused on the family capital program. According to A. Tsuran, its main goal - to stimulate the birth rate - has been achieved.

- Thanks to the family capital in Belarus, the birth of third and subsequent children increased by 40% over a 10-year period. By the decision of the Head of State, the program was extended until the end of 2029, he said.

Social Security: Budget Priority

A. Tsuran also explained what the city budget consists of and what the main funds are spent on:

- The priority is the social sphere. Almost 51% of the income goes here. These are health, education, social policy and other areas. Key approaches in 2026 are wage increases and social benefits, as well as the development of the social structure.

He added that a lot is being built in Minsk and medical facilities have already been built. For example, an adult polyclinic has been opened in the residential area of Vostochny; a clinical infectious hospital is being built in the area of the Dolginovsky tract; the construction of a new building for 120 beds in a boarding school on the street continues. Infrastructure and electric transport

A separate topic is infrastructure. A. Tsuran spoke about new and updated interchanges, about the development of urban passenger transport and personal electric transport. He also touched on the topic of electric vehicle charging:

- The Minsk City Council adopted a concept for the development of electric refueling stations. A little more than 30 thousand electric vehicles are registered in the capital. When building new stations, the distribution of slow and fast charging will be taken into account.

According to him, slow charging plans to put in residential areas, public facilities and offices. Fast and super-fast - on city hubs, intercepting parking lots and in shopping centers.

Road safety

Another important issue is road safety. Tsuran recalled that the deputies at the last session adopted the concept of “Good Road”, which is designed to help reduce the number of deaths and injuries in road accidents.

According to him, the situation has already improved. The number of fatalities in accidents has decreased four times compared to 2000. In the future, it is necessary to completely avoid the dead and wounded in road traffic in Minsk and prevent the death of children in road accidents.

A. Tsuran noted that the concept enshrines 14 programs on road safety. They have activities, deadlines, expected results, funding conditions and controls.

Reconstruction of the Minsk treatment plant

One of the priorities for the near future A. Tsuran called the reconstruction of the Minsk treatment plant on the street. Engineering, 1.

- Reconstruction has three main objectives. The first is the efficiency of wastewater treatment. The second point is the elimination of unpleasant odors that come from mechanical cleaning facilities. The sediments are closed, and the exhaust gases will be cleaned and safely released into the atmosphere. Some of these installations have already been put into operation. The third goal is technologically the most difficult – these are issues related to the treatment of silt sediments, he explained.

According to the Chairman of the Minsk City Council, a new stage will be added - disinfection. The precipitate will be processed under special conditions under which biogas is formed. The latter is used to generate electricity. It will cover half of the station’s needs. In the end, they plan to build a sludge burning plant.

Major construction of the capital

In conclusion, A. Tsuran spoke about large investment objects. Among them are the National Museum of Belarus, the National Unity Park, the overpass from the street. Kolesnikova to the street. Timiryazev, reconstruction of the buildings of the 6th city clinical hospital, the second section of the third metro line, etc.

During the meeting with the staff, the employees asked A. Tsuran a number of questions related to various spheres of life.

A resident of the residential area of Sukharevo asked about the situation around CHPP-4, noting the presence of an unpleasant smell in the area, and clarified whether measures are being taken to improve the work of treatment plants.

Employees also drew attention to long waiting times when purchasing MAZ equipment. There was also a question about the timing of the introduction of the 11th polyclinic in the residential area of Uruchye.

The necessary clarifications were provided for each of the questions raised.

The meeting with the staff of the Minsk House Building Plant became another platform for an open conversation about the key areas of development of the capital and the country. The main idea, emphasized by A. Tsuran: in the center of all work remains a person, family and a decent quality of life of Minsk residents.
