Editor of the Vurnarsky district newspaper – laureate of the “Bereginya Village” award

In Chuvashia, the first regional award “Bereginya of the village” was awarded. The winner in the nomination “Good Deed” was recognized as the editor-in-chief of the Vurnar district newspaper “Unterя яulя” Svetlana Chikmyakova.

The ceremony was held within the framework of the project “Best in the village” and was timed to the Day of rural women. This holiday was established on the initiative of the Head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev in June 2026. The award recognizes women who, through their initiatives, transform their native territories and unite people.

In addition to journalistic activities, Svetlana Valerievna is engaged in volunteer assistance to participants in a special military operation. It organizes volunteer initiatives, sews clothes necessary for the front and knits talismans for fighters, being an example of an active civic position and indifference to the fate of the defenders of the Motherland.
