Rosselkhoznadzor revealed violations in the use of pesticides in the Saratov region

In the Saratov region 22 farmers were responsible for violations with pesticides. This is reported by the regional management of Rosselkhoznadzor.

Specialists of the department found that agricultural producers ignored the requirements for informing beekeepers and local residents about the planned field work, and also allowed exceeding the permissible dosages of chemicals. The inspectors initiated 23 administrative proceedings in accordance with Article 8.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, which regulates the rules for handling agrochemicals.

Among those prosecuted were eight legal entities, ten individual entrepreneurs and four officials. Specific penalties applied to violators, the Department did not specify. According to the legislation, sanctions under this article may include monetary fines of up to 100 thousand rubles or a temporary suspension of activities for a period of up to 90 days. Final decisions on each of the cases will be made following the review of materials by the supervisory authority.
