The Russians explained why it is better to pay taxes before December 1

The Russians were advised not to postpone the payment of taxes for 2025 until the last day. Although the deadline expires on December 1, 2026, it is better to pay with the state at least two weeks before this date. This advice was given by Deputy Director General of the Association for the Development of Financial Literacy Irina Maslova.

According to the expert, this year it is especially important to carefully study tax notices. In addition to the usual property payments, some citizens are taxed on personal income, taking into account the progressive scale of taxation and additional income.

As explained by Maslova, early verification of charges will allow you to notice possible errors in time and deal with the amounts that cause questions. If you leave everything for the last days of November, the time to apply to the tax office may not be enough.

“Accruals must be paid by 1 December to anyone notified. But you should not wait until the last day, the specialist said, explaining the need to familiarize yourself with the amounts exposed in advance.

If the taxpayer does not agree with the charges, the expert recommends seeking advice from the tax inspectorate at the place of residence. It is advisable to do this before the deadline for payment in order to have time to understand the situation.

It is not necessary to pay the entire amount in one payment. Maslova reminded that a single tax account can be replenished in parts. This method allows you to distribute costs for several payments and reduce the one-time burden on the family budget.

Another option, which the expert told, is to connect the auto payment through the personal account of the taxpayer. This will help not to miss the deadline.

Until December 1, 2026, citizens need to pay tax on property of individuals, transport and land taxes accrued for 2025. Notifications may also include personal income tax, including interest income on bank deposits.
