The action “Hello, Minsk citizen!” is held in maternity hospitals of the capital. Young mothers, whose babies were born on City Day, were honored in the 1st city clinical hospital of the capital on September 14, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Traditionally, young mothers were congratulated by representatives of the city leadership, district administrations, public organizations and government officials. Women were given flowers and gifts for newborns. In gift sets - clothes, diapers, hygiene products, pillow, blankets and blankets - everything you need for the first days of a baby's life.

This year, 21 Minsk residents were born on City Day.

- We always congratulate the children who are born on this day, and we say thanks to their mothers. After all, the birth of a child is a real happiness and the most significant event, said Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Andrei Strigelsky.

He stressed that the capital has a developed family support system. Various benefits, medical care, educational services and social infrastructure are available to young parents.

- I am sure that all issues and difficulties that may arise in our mothers at different stages of life will be solved. We pay special attention to these children, because they have become beautiful and very significant gifts on the City Day, Strygelsky said.

He also thanked the medical professionals who help mothers and babies in the first hours of their lives.

- I want to say words of gratitude to our doctors – doctors, obstetricians, nurses, everyone who works in maternity hospitals. It is probably difficult to find more attentive, caring and caring specialists. Moms are surrounded by care and attention, he said.

In the capital maternity hospital No. 1 on City Day, three children were born - two boys and one girl. Two babies became firstborns. Another boy was born third - so the family became large.

The chief doctor of the maternity hospital No 1 Olga Yesmanchik said that for eight months the birth rate in the institution remains approximately at the level of last year. At the same time, patient conditions continue to improve. At the moment, the third floor of the obstetric physiological department is being repaired.

- Despite the renovation, we remain attractive to future parents. The birth rate remains, O. Esmanchik emphasized.

For 23-year-old Maria Mitrakhovich City Day became a double holiday. On September 12, she became a mother for the first time - her son Alexander weighing 3,250 grams was born.

Pregnancy in a young woman was difficult: toxicosis lasted nine months. Therefore, the meeting with the baby Maria was waiting especially hard. My husband was present at the birth.

- I am very grateful to all the medical staff. They did everything so that we were born healthy, so that everything was fine with us, the young mother shared.

Maria grew up in a large family and admits that she always dreamed of three or even four children. The birth of the first child on City Day is considered a special coincidence.

- It's such a nice bonus to the birth of my son. But I believe that it is entirely his merit - he chose the date himself, Maria said with a smile.
