Ryazan called the main rules of behavior when meeting a wolf

When meeting with a wolf, you should scare away the predator with a loud and confident voice, while it is strictly forbidden to run away. This was stated in an interview with NEWS.ru by environmental safety expert Ilya Rybalchenko. According to him, a running person can provoke an animal instinct of persecution.

If the wolf does not retreat and shows aggression, you need to straighten up to appear larger, and make loud noises. With further convergence, it is recommended to use improvised means for protection, at the same time slowly move away to the car or structure.

The expert stressed that when meeting a wolf, a small child should be kept nearby, it should not be allowed to run away. The dog should be left on a short leash. It can interest the predator and provoke a dangerous convergence.

“If an attack does occur, one cannot pretend to be dead. It is necessary to actively defend ourselves, said Ilya Rybalchenko. If you bite or even get a scratch, the ecologist advised to wash the wound with soap and water and immediately seek medical help.

If the predator is seen near residential buildings and is not afraid of people, you should report it to the emergency services on 112.
