Ryazan explained the rights of fathers on parental leave in Russia

Fathers in Russia have the right to take parental leave at any time until they reach the age of three. About this in an interview with NEWS.ru told the lawyer Hope Shvyreva.

According to her, parents independently decide who will care. A father doesn’t have to prove that a mother can’t babysit—she can work or study. Usually one parent goes on vacation, but if the second does not use it, the father has the right to issue it for himself.

“Parents can replace each other, and vacations can be taken in parts,” explained Nadezhda Shvyreva.

The lawyer explained that if there are twins, triplets or weather in the family, both parents can go on leave at the same time, and the employer has no right to refuse. During the leave, the employee retains a workplace.
