With a focus on quality: Belmedpreparaty supplies domestic medicines to more than 20 countries

RUE "Belmedpreparaty" remains one of the largest manufacturers of medicines in the country. The production structure of the company includes five sites: two are located in Minsk, one each works in Lida, Skidel and Beshenkovichi. The total number of the team is almost 2.5 thousand people. About this during the press conference: “Pharmindustry of Belarus: innovative methods in the development and implementation of medicines, biotechnology and new quality standards”, dedicated to the Day of workers of the pharmaceutical and microbiological industry, said General Director of RUE “Belmedpreparaty” Alexander Zhadan.

He noted:

- The company operates in both domestic and foreign markets. About 60 percent of products are supplied to Belarusian consumers, and half of this volume falls on the hospital sector. Another 40 percent of the products are exported. Over the past two years, medicines have been supplied to 23 countries. The key export markets traditionally remain Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Moldova and the Republic of Korea. At the same time, the company continues to expand the geography of supplies, mastering the markets of distant arc countries. Among the new destinations of recent years is the United Arab Emirates. Last year, the first delivery of Belarusian medicine to Cambodia took place, and this year the company shipped products to Libya.

According to Alexander Zhadan, the further development of the enterprise is associated with expanding its presence in foreign markets and meeting the needs of the healthcare system and patients with high-quality and affordable medicines.
