The most frank conversation of the year. N. Kochanova answered the questions of the participants of the women’s forum

Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, authorized representative of the Head of State in Minsk Natalia Kochanova in the format of an open dialogue communicated with the participants of the second republican youth women's forum "Women's energy for a big cause" on September 23, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
200 young women from 18 to 31 years old from all regions of Belarus came to Minsk. The organizers were the Youth Council under the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly and the Belarusian Union of Women.

- This year is special for us – the Year of the Belarusian woman. But in our country, care for the family and women is the basis of state social policy. In Belarus, everything is done to ensure that our women live happily and can realize themselves in absolutely all directions, Kochanova said.

She also expressed confidence that such forums will be held annually on an ongoing basis and young women will gather there to exchange views, share suggestions, wishes and thoughts.
A red thread throughout the conversation was the topic of preserving traditional values.
- Choosing between career and personal, you need to make a choice in favor of family. You will have a happy family, you will be happy, and your career will also develop. The family is what strengthens the economic power of our country, and the state, in turn, supports young families and families with children. This is the payment of benefits, and family capital, and housing, said N. Kochanova.

Delegates asked her many questions, from personal to professional. In particular, the participants were interested in the topics of housing for young families, women’s realization, work with special children. The topic of increasing the prestige of working professions was also touched upon.

- We need to see a man of work, and then there will be success. Workers are our pride. They create good for our country with their own hands. We need to talk more about these people, talk about them, give them more rewards. Fortunately, today about half of ninth grade graduates go to college. It is harder to enter the college than to enter the university, Kochanova noted.

After the meeting with the Chairman of the Council of the Republic, the work of the sections groups took place, and in the final, the delegates adopted the resolution of the forum.

- The main message of the forum is to show young girls how important and in demand they are in the country. It is always interesting to observe the work of the sections, the thoughts of young people, their aspirations, goals and tasks. We see that young people today do not consider career and family as mutually exclusive concepts, they have the opportunity to successfully combine these spheres. For them, the role of mother is also important - this is the most iconic thing we always celebrate. And it is good that our young girls talk about family and values, said Olga Shpilevskaya, Chairman of the Belarusian Women’s Union.
