Saratov merchants vapes will be fined 300 thousand rubles

From March 1, 2027, trade in vapes is prohibited in the Saratov region. Last week, the deputies of the regional Duma discussed the size of fines that will threaten unscrupulous sellers.

On September 16, the Saratov Regional Duma held a meeting of the Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government. Parliamentarians considered a bill establishing administrative measures of responsibility for the sale of electronic cigarettes and liquids to them. It follows from the explanatory note that the protocols for traders will be compiled by officials of local self-government bodies, and the courts of the peace will consider them. If the document is adopted, the amount of the fine will be from 40 thousand to 50 thousand rubles for officials, from 300 to 400 thousand rubles for legal entities.

Deputies asked the chairman of the regional Duma Alexei Antonov whether the law will extend to order vapes through marketplaces. Antonov assured that any sale in the Saratov region will be punished.
