Today, on September 22, the RSPC of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology opened a specialized space "Matulin Pakoi", where women who are with children in a health care institution can receive a number of procedures and simply reboot. The project was implemented on the initiative of the United Organization of Business Entities of the Belarusian Union of Women. Details are reported by sb.by correspondent.

Olga Shpilevskaya, Chairman of the Belarusian Women’s Union, Director of the Mir representative office in Belarus, told how the initiative was born:
- We have a tradition: on Wednesdays in the BCJ House we hold meetings with women's delegations from different regions of the country, so that every woman was included in the work of the union, understood what our plans are. And, of course, we always communicate to hear the initiatives of activists, because it is important when ideas come from the field, then their implementation is in demand. And one of the participants of such a meeting, a representative of the Brest region, noted that she was with the child in the RSPC of pediatric oncology - thank God, everything went well in that story. The woman drew attention to the fact that mothers who lie with children want to remain beautiful, to be able to put themselves in order. I also wanted to open an office where my mom could do it.
The head of the union shared the story with women entrepreneurs - they took up the implementation of the idea. Business women in the structure of the BCJ are very active, the head of the union stressed:
- It's proof that our women aren't about business, even when they're women of business. They are willing to participate in social projects, always ready to help.
The curator of the project, a member of the organization of businesswoman BSJ Dina Efimova shared details. So, the idea immediately found a response from the leadership of the RSPC, and the implementation of the initiative began in January 2026.
- For a long time, we chose the right room where we could technically implement the idea. At the same time, it was important that the road for mothers did not take much time. After all, women who are here with their children cannot leave for a long time, Dina Efimova explained.
Director of the RSPC of pediatric oncology, hematology and immunology Angelika Solntseva drew attention to the fact that mothers who are in the walls of the RSPC not only accompany their daughters and sons, but also actively participate in the treatment process. Therefore, they can leave only for 30-40 minutes. At this time, they were guided, forming an initial list of services and selecting equipment for it.
As a result, they organized a full-fledged workplace for a hairdresser, so that women could wash their heads with special means, make simple haircuts, styling. Makeup can also be done here, which is expected to be especially popular with girls.
- Everyone who knew about the project helped. Because even when children have a slight cold, we already experience anxiety. It is frightening to imagine what stress and shock mothers go through, whose children are given severe diagnoses, whose children receive long-term and often painful treatment. And we wanted to create a place of power for moms where they can breathe out, switch. After all, the rested mother is a beacon for the child, a sign that everything will be fine, Dina Efimov shared her opinion.
To be completed.
