Family as a guarantor of prosperity. What was discussed at the dialogue platform in the Central district

The dialogue platform "Family - the Foundation of Stability, Economic Prosperity and Security of Statehood" was held in the Central District in the spiritual and educational center "Ark" on October 14, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

The event was opened by the cleric of the Holy Elizabethan Monastery, Archpriest Sergius Khrapitsky. He noted that we live in a difficult time when many bonds are crumbling, so we need to hold on to what gives a person a solid foundation – faith and family values.

Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Angelika Kurczak spoke about social state guarantees for young and large families.

- In the field of family support in Belarus, 11 types of benefits are legally provided. At the same time, the more children in the family, the more significant the help. For example, at the birth of the first child, a lump sum of 5,300 rubles is paid. And at the birth of the second and subsequent - already more than 7,400, she said.

State support is yielding results: there are 117,000 large families in Belarus. At the same time, women successfully combine motherhood and career: 42% of all entrepreneurs in the country are women. They also hold every second leadership position in the country.

His vision of modern family values shared the Chairman of the Center for support of family and motherhood “Matulya”, holder of the order of Mother Veronika Serdyuk. She noted that from year to year the age of marriage increases, as well as in which women and men become parents. At the same time, reproductive age is limited, which reduces the opportunity to create a large family. But you should not be afraid that the birth of a child will affect your career.

- My mother, with her experience, gave the attitude that motherhood is the main thing, but a woman can combine it with a successful career. Moreover, working in the center, I see that women without education and profession are in the most vulnerable position, she said.

Deputy Director for Science of the State Institution “Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Mother and Child” Ivan Kurlovich told about reproductive health protection in Belarus.

- Thanks to state guarantees and support, 100% of women in Belarus have access to prenatal and postnatal health care. 97-98% of expectant mothers are registered before 12 weeks of pregnancy and undergo an ultrasound examination to identify congenital defects. All births in the country take place with qualified maternity care, he said.

Also during the dialogue platform, Natalia Gromova, Deputy Director for Ideological Work of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health, spoke about the prevention of crisis states, suicidal behavior and crimes against sexual integrity through a safe family environment.
