The Kobyakov family from Zapolar received the title of “Golden family” of Russia

Spouses Yuri and Valentina Kobyakova from Zapolyarny became the winners of the all-Russian competition “Family of the Year” in the nomination “Golden family of Russia”. This was reported by the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrei Chibis.

Yuri Alexandrovich and Valentina Mikhailovna have been together for 60 years. During this time, they created a large family, raised children and grandchildren, and today rejoice in the success of great-grandchildren.

A special place in the life of spouses is the preservation of historical memory. In retirement, the Kobyakovs founded the Museum of Military Glory at the foot of Musta-Tunturi, dedicated to the feat of the defenders of the Arctic. Yuri Alexandrovich conducts daily excursions for visitors, and Valentina welcomes guests and helps to preserve the memory of the heroic past of the Kola Territory.

The victory in the All-Russian competition was a recognition not only of the strong family traditions of the Kobyakovs, but also of their long-term contribution to the patriotic education and preservation of the historical heritage of the region.
