“Family is the basis of prosperous Belarus”: 17 women in Gomel region awarded the Order of the Mother

Today, October 14, the Gomel Palace of Culture of Railway Workers opened its doors for participants of the regional reception dedicated to Mother’s Day. In a festive atmosphere, 17 residents of the Gomel region, raising five or more children, were awarded a high state award - the Order of the Mother. These women by personal example destroy stereotypes, proving that having many children is not a rejection of self-realization, but a powerful stimulus for personal and professional growth, where maternal happiness becomes the main source of inspiration and inner strength.

- We traditionally gather in October to celebrate Mother’s Day, but now this holiday is filled with a broader meaning. The state pays great attention to the support of motherhood, but a strong family is the union of mother, father and children. This is the foundation of our society and the foundation of a prosperous Belarus, Ivan Krupko said. – It was on the initiative of President Alexander Lukashenko that another important holiday appeared in our calendar – Father’s Day. Parental Love Week united these dates, allowing us to honor the family in its entirety, thanking both mothers and fathers for their hard and important work.

Ivan Krupko paid special attention to how state guarantees are embodied in the life of the region:

- Today, almost 19 thousand large families live in the Gomel region, where children’s laughter sounds, good traditions are preserved and love for their native land is brought up. More than two thousand mothers of the region have already been awarded the Order of the Mother, and today this honorary award is awarded to another 17 women in the region. Being a mother of many children is a real feat of life. At the same time, our women remain beautiful, actively participate in public life and inspire others to do good deeds.

The conversation about the importance of the maternal feat and the inviolability of the Belarusian traditions was continued by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus - Inspector for the Gomel region Yuri Valevaty:

- Today I want to address you, dear mothers, said Yuri Valevaty. Watching this solemn ceremony, it is impossible not to appease the inner beauty of our women. You are humble, you are beautiful, you are bright representatives of our society. Thank you very much for being the guardians of the family hearth and a source of maternal warmth, which protects us, helps society to develop positively, create and win victories under the peaceful sky of our Motherland.

The presidential aide warmly greeted the parents and representatives of the family dynasties:

- With your example, we can confidently say that our society preserves traditions, remembers its roots and develops dynamically. Let me thank you for your care, wise mentoring and upbringing of children who are becoming a worthy future of the Republic of Belarus. Today, we are particularly keen to feel the trepidation with which the Head of State treats the preservation of classical family traditions. Time confirms how far-reaching were the views of Alexander Grigorievich. And we are right that we are following his right orders, preserving a healthy, united and peaceful society. Make your children a daily source of pride!

Among those who took the stage today were representatives of a variety of professions – from engineers and economists to teachers and medical professionals. But, despite the serious employment in the production and social sphere, each of them finds time for family, fascinating hobbies, sports and creativity. Seventeen Orders of the Mother - for the main life feat The most numerous mother of the current ceremony - Nina Klimenok from Rechitsky district, working as a weigher of the pig breeding complex of the branch "Soviet Belarus". Together with her husband Andrew, they raise six children. Living in the countryside, Nina from an early age teaches children to work and mutual assistance.

- When we were just starting a family, we thought that we would have three children, Nina Klimenok shares with a smile. But in the end, six girls and boys became our real family “trick”, as friends joke. All our children are welcome. Of course, they are still small, the oldest is only 11 years old, so we do not impose strict adult requirements on them. But the main rule that we instill from a very young age is honesty to ourselves and others, kindness and mutual understanding. All relationships in our home are based on honesty. Whatever the situation, we teach children: tell them how it is, and we will figure it out together.

On the backyard of a large family, there is no division of duties into “my” and “yours”. If the father goes to work in the yard, the children themselves, without coercion, take the initiative and run to help. The only son, the eldest Arthur, sometimes has a hard time surrounded by five younger sisters, because each requires his boyish attention. But the 11-year-old guy perfectly copes with the status of his mother’s support: he himself helps the younger ones deal with homework and diligently tightens the English language with the middle sister.

If five daughters grow up in the family of Nina Klimenok, the economist of the agricultural enterprise Zabolotye 2010 Ekaterina Pilipenko from Rogachevsky district leads a real “male kingdom” – she has five sons. Being on maternity leave, in a cozy private house in the agro-town of Zabolotye, she manages everything: to direct the stormy energy of boys in the right direction, and to maintain a balance in the house between male discipline and mother's tenderness. The boys, under the guidance of their father, master the technique with all their might – together they repair their bicycles in the garage and help tinker with the car.

- Being a mother of five sons and feeling like you are hugged by five pairs of loving hands at once are indescribable emotions, Ekaterina Pilipenko shares. The main quality that my husband and I bring up in boys is respect for each other and cohesion. I always teach them that you have to protect each other. Even if one of the brothers is wrong, in public you have to stand up for him and stand up for him. And at home, without prying eyes, you will understand and tell each other how it was right and how it was not.

The ability to combine exact sciences with a creative approach was demonstrated by the engineer of OJSC Gomselmash Olga Kuritskaya. In her large family, four boys and a girl grow up: the younger Maxim is only a year and nine months old, and the older Daria is fifteen. Olga speaks about her large number of children with a smile - she never thought about it in her youth, everything turned out by itself, but with each new child, joy in the house became only more.

- By example, I show children that they need to constantly develop, learn and lead an active life. Having many children is not a rejection of self-realization. Everyone should have their own hobbies. We look at each other in the family and learn something new together, Olga Kuritskaya is convinced.

So in her life there was a very unusual hobby - learning Chinese. The idea belonged to her husband, who offered to learn a language, and Olga cut off: “Only not English, everyone knows it.” Give me Chinese! . For several years, she enthusiastically storms hieroglyphs, and after her, the craving for knowledge shows her eldest daughter, who this year graduates from the ninth grade. Sons also reveal their talents: the elder Andrei successfully plays the accordion and is engaged in folk art, and Daria has already graduated from the art school in the drawing class. Favorite common cause Kuritsky – summer travel by car in Belarus, a visit to the Brest fortress and zoos. According to Olga, the house is always noisy because of the five guys, but when someone leaves, the apartment immediately feels empty, as if something very native is missing.

His special recipe for family happiness was shared by the worker of OJSC Svetlogorsk Pulp and Cardboard Combine Olga Savitskaya. In her youth, she really wanted to be a teacher, but her main vocation was revealed at home - now she is the mother of three sons and two daughters. Olga herself grew up in a small family with a younger brother, but before my eyes there was always an example of the older generation. Both on the mother’s side and on the father’s side, grandparents had three children. Looking at these large, friendly branches of the family, the girl since childhood sincerely dreamed of her own noisy and crowded house. Today she is proud to admit that this cherished dream came true one hundred percent.

Olga personally proves that having many children is not an obstacle to an active life. It not only works successfully in production, but also protects the honor of the combine in sports arenas. In her piggy bank - regular victories at workshops, city and regional competitions in volleyball, swimming and table tennis.

- The secret of our family is simple: mom and dad should be a personal example for children, says Olga Savitskaya. Sport gives me tremendous energy and family gives me endless inspiration. In my spare time, I make jewelry for my girls, and on weekends, when we have a free minute, we all bake pies or homemade pizza together. Another important tradition is that children go to Sunday school on Sundays. Olga considers the Order of the Mother, received in the railway station, only a beautiful addition to her main and most important profession. Sports, floristics and... unusual pets Every story that sounded on this day in the hall of the DC railway workers was filled with special colors. Those present learned with warmth about the creative traditions and other culprits of the celebration. So, in the family of the teacher Anna Stoletova from Rechitsa, in the evenings they sing to the guitar and arrange bicycle rides, Ales Komissarov from Mozyr is professionally fond of floristics, and Violetta Ushakova from Gomel collects old tea pairs and creates interior miniatures.

Their unique talents in the education of children are invested by Alena Zinkevich and Kamila Keklis from Zhlobinsky district (by the way, in the family of Kamila, children care for an exotic pet - lizard), Olga Bazyleva from Rechitsa, Natalia Nemtseva from Buda-Koshelevo, Ekaterina Parfenova from Rogachev, Elena Belaya from Vetkovo district, as well as Gomel residents Maria Neverovskaya, Inessa Shevchenko and Svetlana Kruchko.

Under the ceremonial musical chords, the holiday in the DC of railway workers united generations. Together with mothers with many children, the winners of the annual regional online competition of family initiatives received well-deserved awards, flowers and diplomas. Each of the top five teams in the region presented a unique project proving that parenting is a creative and inspiring work.

A real example of loyalty to traditions was the family of Nikolai and Nadezhda Nikitin from the agro-town of Pokolyubichy, Gomel district. The couple raises six children and successfully implements the project “Wings of Nadeika” – a touching initiative for the social adaptation of the elderly and children through puppet therapy. Nikitin is firmly convinced that the doll created by his own hands becomes a conduit of hope and helps to straighten his shoulders.

Special attention was paid to the promotion of reading by Vladimir and Tatiana Mishurov from Rechitsa. Their street library "Family Book" offers free exchange of literature in an accessible bookcrossing format. The Mishurovs are actively developing this useful project and plan to expand the network of mini-libraries both in Rechitsa and beyond.

The topic of comprehensive support for women was raised by the creative family of Dmitry and Yulia Aptykaev from Mozyr. Their interactive project “Mother’s Heart” helps mothers restore their inner resources and become more aware of the importance of parental love. Patriotic education was dedicated to the efforts of Gomel residents Alexei and Olga Kudrya from Novobelitsky district. Their family initiative “Heirs of Victory” creates a lively bond of generations, turning the history of the Great Patriotic War into personal pride for young people.

The fact that parenting is fun and unforgettable, said the young family of Igor and Irina Asipenko from Chechersk. They independently organize a bright regional competition “Parade of wheelchairs”, where young parents creatively present their thematic works.

Different destinies, different professions, but one common high calling. Orders and diplomas received today will become the main relics in these houses. State recognition is honorable and important, but the highest appreciation of their parental work is decent, happy and healthy children who will grow up to be real citizens of their country.
