Confectioner from the Kola Arctic Natalia Dementieva won gold at the international competition Cakeology 2026 in New Delhi. This was reported by the winner herself.
Her three-tier cake "Heart of Hindustan" was recognized as the best judge of the Indian Culinary Academy. The way to the award was difficult: before departure from Murmansk, the flight was canceled, and the confectioner got to Delhi a day later. She arrived at the venue immediately from the airport, without sleep or rest, and picked up the cake a few minutes before the judging began.
The design of the cake withstood thousands of kilometers of flights and two transfers. None of the waffle elements were affected. The judges noted the bas-relief of the Bengal tiger, the white elephant in the quilling technique and the cascade of the isomalt waterfall.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that for the polar drama, the director received an award for the best debut at the “Mayak” in Gelendzhik.
