“Silver” reversal: pensioners near Moscow are massively transplanted to desks

4,800 applications are not a dry statistic. Behind every line is a man who, at 50, 55, 60, decided that his career wasn't over, it might just be starting over. And we are not talking about one-time courses "for a tick": the service "Training persons of pre-retirement age in accordance with a social certificate" opens access to full retraining. The condition is one, but the main one is the status of the official unemployed. It is he who turns desire into opportunity.

The most intriguing thing about this story is the technological paradox. People go to learn how to work with artificial intelligence, and artificial intelligence. Checking their papers. The built-in AI analyzes uploaded files and identifies incorrect documents before sending an application to the department. Simply put, the “smart” system does not allow the application to “burn” due to a banal typo or a bad scan. This is not just convenient – it removes the barrier, which for many older people becomes a psychological stop: “What if I do something wrong?”.

The list of destinations is perhaps the loudest answer to skeptics who believe that age employees are about the “past century”. In the top artificial intelligence and neural networks, system analysis, web programming, administration of "1C" and even the operation of unmanned aircraft systems. At the same time, quite “terrestrial” competencies are in demand: accounting, personnel office work, procurement activities, management of CNC lathes.

The interesting thing is that the 50+ audience has their favorites. If in the region as a whole, people often choose programming and 1C, then the older generation is particularly popular with the program “Artificial Intelligence in Daily Activities” and the course “Logistics and Warehouse Management Specialist”.

Retraining is not three years at the desk. The deadlines are short and result-oriented: an average of 3 weeks to 3 months depending on the program. The formats are full-time, correspondence and distance, which allows you to combine study with job search or other circumstances. As a result, a state document is issued: a certificate, a diploma of retraining or a certificate of qualification. This is an official confirmation of the new competence.

There are people behind the numbers. Galina Kruchinina from Egorievsk since 1994 worked in the tax service, but in May her position was reduced. She registered with the Personnel Center as unemployed and chose the program “Neuronetworks for work and business”. Online seminars, lectures, homework, practical work – “not always simple, but interesting” learning process, as she admitted.

And 60-year-old Konstantin Kostenok from Mytishchi, an experienced printer, left without work, masters “Applied AI for developers of LLM integration”. His formula for success sounds like the motto of the whole program: “If you have this skill plus a wealth of experience, you become much more valuable.”.

The program works within the framework of the federal project “Active measures to promote employment” of the national project “Personnel”. The state plans to annually quickly and efficiently train about 104,000 people in specialties important for the economy, primarily those who find work more difficult: people of pre-retirement age, the unemployed, women with preschool children.

You can apply through the regional portal of public services or the portal “Work in Russia”, and specialists of the Personnel Center will help to choose an educational organization on a competitive basis and conclude a training contract.

So perhaps the main question today is not “is it worth studying after 50?”, but “which program to choose before artificial intelligence has checked your documents?”.
