Sergey Menyailo: after the conflict in the restaurant in North Ossetia will review the mode of work of institutions

The conflict in the restaurant became the reason for the revision of the rules of catering in North Ossetia. The head of the republic Sergey Menyailo stressed that this is not an emotional reaction to a separate incident, but a long overdue problem.

“I understand well the residents of the republic, who after a working day want peace and quiet in their homes, but are forced to face night noise, conflicts and irresponsible behavior of others. One person's right to entertainment should not violate another's right to a quiet life, Menailo said.

Order, according to the head of the region, must be brought to all levels: the government establishes uniform rules and controls their implementation, business is responsible for the safety of visitors and residents of neighboring houses, and every citizen respects others and observes the law.

The administration and the government of the republic, together with municipalities and public organizations, were instructed to prepare proposals for regulating the working hours of catering establishments, having studied the experience of other regions. Before making decisions, entrepreneurs are recommended to independently revise schedules taking into account the interests of residents.

A separate block is security. The head of the republic instructed to check the video surveillance systems, physical security and readiness of personnel to prevent conflicts, as well as to work out the responsibility of the organizers of mass events and site owners, including medical support.

“Weddings and other holidays should bring joy and not become a source of danger and sleepless nights for others. Shooting, traffic violations, nighttime fireworks and endless car signals cannot be justified by tradition. No custom gives the right to endanger other people, Menyailo said.

He also pointed to the need for order in the use of public areas: sidewalks should remain accessible to pedestrians, and roads should be free for traffic. It is unacceptable to occupy public space for parking lots and summer verandas to the detriment of residents.

“We do not need prohibitions for the sake of prohibitions. We need clear rules, real responsibility and the same requirements for everyone. I look forward to a constructive dialogue with business, municipalities and the public. But I want to be clear: the interests of business cannot be higher than the safety and security of people. We live in one republic and must respect each other, the head of North Ossetia concluded.
