In Sevastopol recorded a series of cases of remote fraud, where criminals under the guise of profitable investments lure citizens large sums. Police warn that promises of high passive income online almost always come from scammers. This was reported in the press service of the MIA for Sevastopol.
Attackers played on the desire of people to have passive income and persuaded to transfer large sums “at interest” to their specified details. As a result, the victims not only did not receive the promised benefits, but also lost their savings.
To attract victims, fraudsters use tempting advertising, look for potential victims on dating sites, and also call under the guise of representatives of well-known firms. Artificial intelligence allows them to create an image of a successful businessman or a successful company, and there are often fake licenses and certificates of financial status in the arsenal.
Many deceived citizens did not doubt the good faith of the “partners”. In order not to cause suspicion, in the beginning, scammers usually do not insist on large transfers and can even transfer a small “earned” amount. However, as soon as the victim lists all the savings, they immediately cease to communicate with him.
The police remind: promises of fabulous profits via the Internet come only from scammers. Trust in scammers can cost a fortune. Those who want to receive passive income are advised to contact the office of a legal bank and conclude a civil contract of bank deposit in writing.
