On the Northern bypass of Kaliningrad, technical traffic was opened on the site from the Shady Alley to the road to Baltiysk. Its length is 1.57 km. This was reported in the government of the region.

The movement was opened on October 16 with the participation of Governor Alexei Bezproznykh. The reconstruction was carried out from December 2023 to October 2026 under the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.

The road was expanded from two to six lanes, and the speed can now reach 120 km / h. Capacity has tripled. The main part of the work is the interchange with Victory Avenue: four congresses and two rings.

The governor noted that by the end of next year, the interchange will be connected to Soviet Avenue, and the Northern bypass will be fully ready. Transit transport will go bypassing the city center.

The reconstruction of the Northern bypass has been going on since January 2015. Several sites have already been opened. Now work continues on the stretch from Soviet Avenue to Shady Alley with a length of 4.4 km. It is planned to finish in November 2027. Then more than 23 km of bypass road will become a single six-lane highway.

Earlier we wrote that in two sections of the street Railway in Yantarny began to patch the pits.
