Baysana Taktinova, a student of the 11th grade of Elistinsk secondary school No. 2, who is engaged in the center for the development of gifted children in the direction of “Science”, became the winner of the program “Digital Forester”. The project is being implemented thanks to the large-scale initiative “Planetary on duty”.

Baysana presented Kalmykia at the All-Russian space shift in Tatarstan. There, together with a team of young researchers from different regions of the country, she performed real forestry missions.

The students were engaged in the analysis of satellite data and the development of engineering solutions. Their work resulted in digital prototypes designed to protect forests.
