In the Kurakh district of Dagestan, students of the school in the village of Mollakent were transferred to study in the neighboring village of Beligi, located 7 km from their home. The reason was the damaged bridge that separates the residential part of the village from the school building.
The building suffered from mudflow in April and was declared emergency. However, for six months, local residents and schoolchildren continued to cross the river along the destroyed structure due to the lack of alternative ways.
The district authorities decided to arrange the transfer of children to another school only now. The timing of the repair of the emergency bridge, the authorities of the Kurakh district have not yet been named.
