Spilevskaya - about the competition "Supergrandmother": at any age it is possible to realize yourself

The final of the competition of the Belarusian Women’s Union “Super Grandmother” will be held in Minsk on October 23. The event is part of the republican plan for the implementation of events of the Year of the Belarusian Woman. The Union noted great interest in the competition and from the contenders for the title of the best grandmother of the country, and from the future fans — among them will be representatives of government agencies. The importance of the competition in an interview with journalists was told by the Chairman of the BSJ, Director of the representative office of ITRK “Mir” in Belarus Olga Shpilevskaya. Olga Shpilevskaya believes that the contest will be an important event of the Year of the Belarusian Woman. It is intended to show those who are the foundation of the family.

A grandmother is a person who has the wisdom, experience, patience and talent to share the best with the younger generation. It seems to me that the contribution to the demographic situation that our grandmothers can make with their useful advice should not be underestimated, she said.

Recall that the final was preceded by qualifying rounds in the regions in the industry organizations of the BSJ. The final was attended by 14 women aged 51 to 73, who are distinguished by their initiative in society and positive attitude to life. Therefore, Olga Shpilevskaya expressed hope that the finalists of the competition after its completion will not go aside and become active participants in the initiatives of the Union. At the same time, they can offer their own, born during communication within the framework of the preparatory week. In addition to well-known events, for example, dress rehearsals, photo and video shooting, the heroines are waiting for a number of surprises.

- In the final, we will learn the family traditions of the participants of the competition, they will share their secrets of building a successful family, what unites everyone, Olga Shpilevskaya announced. And, of course, our grandmothers will be beautiful this evening! We want to show that age does not change anything. That in our country, no matter how old you are, there is an opportunity to realize yourself - there would be a desire. In particular, the program of active longevity in our country is aimed at this. Every year, pensioners have more opportunities to participate in the economic process, the institution of mentoring is introduced, when the older generation can pass on their experience to young people.

Asked if the competition could become traditional, the BSJ chairwoman stressed:

- We have this position in the Union regarding all our events: we conduct and look at how they respond, how wide circles are involved in the process. And when we see that it is really worth it, we do everything possible to ensure that the event continues.
