In the Sverdlovsk region, a schoolgirl frightened residents of the village of Butka (Talitsky district) with a photo of a bear, which turned out to be fake. E1.ru writes about it.
a 12-year-old girl created the image using artificial intelligence to make fun of her grandmother, but the picture went beyond family chat.
Residents of the village began to actively send each other a realistic photo of the beast on the local street, calling it “Boriska”. Many believed in the appearance of a predator, as the region has recently become more frequent real exits of bears to people.
The village administration confirmed that the image was generated by a neural network.
When it became clear that the joke caused mass panic, the schoolgirl wrote an apology in a local chat, explaining that she sent the picture only to her grandmother and did not expect such a resonance.
The student was called to the school, where she and her parents had a preventive conversation. The girl was threatened that the next time she will be registered in the juvenile affairs unit (PDN).
Earlier in the Amur region for a similar fake (creating an AI photo of a bear on the street), a local resident was fined for spreading false socially significant information.
