On October 13, another temperature record was broken in Nizhny Novgorod, the head of the meteorological forecasts department of the regional Hydrometeorological Center Olga Mokeeva said.

Recall that the day before the record of 1917 was closed – then thermometers showed +19.2 ° C. On Tuesday, the air in the city warmed up to +21.4 ° C, while the previous maximum for this date, set in 1981, was +18.8 ° C. The new record exceeded the previous one by 2.6 degrees.

In general, on October 13, the deviation of the average daily temperature throughout the Nizhny Novgorod region reached +10 degrees.

Forecasters warn that new temperature records are possible from October 14 to 17: the previous maximums for these days were recorded in Nizhny Novgorod in 1909, 1923, 1993 and 2009. Mokeyeva added that in the XXI century the warmest in the city was October 2008.
